Allydn Clark's Life 

How I met him?
I met him when I was small child because he took pictures of us at my parent's small house in Bracebridge, Ontario. 

               Me was 5 years old 
                             
                             and

My youngest sister Sandra was 2 years old and me was 5 years old from small house in Wellington Street in Bracebridge, Ontario.

When he was 10 years old became Deaf and 

2. When did he attended Sir James Whitney School for the Deaf or E. C.  Drury School for the Deaf?

He was attended at special class at Clinton Street Elementary Public School in Toronto, Ontario from 1941 - 1945.
Then transferred to The Central Technical School in Toronto, Ontario from 1945 - 1948.

3. When did he graduated?

4. Did he went to Gallaudent University or College?

5. What courses did he take?

6. Where did he learning from?

He first attempted photography as a teenager in 1945, when he asked his pretty red haired girlfriend Dorothy for her photography. She refused to give him her picture, saying that if he wanted one he so badly, he should get a camera and take it himself. 

7. How did he find the camera from?

He found a used box camera at the Salvation Army and bought it with 50 cents he had planned on spending at the movies.

8. How he met Dorothy and where?

9. When did he got married with Dorothy Tate?

They got married at Toronto's Evangelical Church of the Deaf last May 24th, 1952. After moving to Florida in 1965 to enjoy a change of scenery for a few years, the family relocated back to Ontario, choosing the beautiful town of Bracebridge as their new home.

10. How many hearing children?

They had 4 adult children are Howard (Bracebridge, Ontario), Jennifer (Kingston, Ontario), John ( Mississauga, Ontario) and Norman (Oshawa, Ontario). 

11. Did he went to Ontario Deaf Camp in Parry Sound, Ontario?

12. How long have he been Deaf Photography?



13. Have he been involved anythings at Deaf Community?

In 1974 Allydn won the Golden Defty from the Canadian Cultural Society of the Deaf for one of photographs. At the Southern Cross International Exhibition of Stereo Photography, Sydney, Australia, he was awarded the International Federation of Photographic Art's gold metal for "second best in show", for his three  - dimensional photograph called "Flip the Frog" Allydn's photographs and articles on stereo photography have appeared in Photographic Canadiana, a publication of the photographic Historical Society of Canada. 


Dorothy Grace Tate's Life 

How I met her?
I never met her but I heard about her and saw the newspaper. 

1. Are she born deaf and causes?

2. When did she attended Sir James  Whitney School for the Deaf or E. C. Drury for the Deaf?

She went to special class for the deaf at Clinton Street Elementary Public School in Toronto, Ontario. 

3. When did she graduated?

4. Did she went to Gallaudent University or College?

6. How she met Allydn and where?

In 1941, a cute boy named Alldyn Clark arrived at the school,  having recently become deaf due to spinal meningitis.  She and Allydn soon formed a friendship that would last a lifetime.

Dorothy Tate
April 18th, 1930 - February 8th, 2008


The funeral service was held February 11th, 2008 at Reynolds Funeral Home,  Turner Chapel in Bracebridge, Ontario.  The service was officiated with dignity and light - heartendness by noted Minister of the Deaf, Rev. Bob Rumball.

didn't go to see at Christmas Dinner and Social Night at 330 Kent Street because I don't have ride so try again this year in 2023.

My son Warren did dropped me off at Vincent Massey Park in Heron Street from 12pm to 4pm for first time but I told him picked me up early at 3pm instead 4pm because I was bored and left out.
I bought my own vegetarian hamburgers and drink but I bought their 2 small chips.

How many peoples are attended?

All from Ottawa are totals 30.

My COMMENTS: I did asked Yamlika that I would like invited her for BBQ but she can't because she was moved to her first  apartment.

This Saturday August 5th, 2023 First  time my friend Yamlika and I went to Lord Elgin Hotel for Gala & Award Dinner from 7pm to 12am.
My son Warren did dropped us off at Lord Elgin Hotel and picked us up home. 


Then we came inside walked around found spot took picture of us.

I ate my dinner are: salad, mashed potatoes, pasta with mushrooms, purple grapes and date squares also 2 apple juices.

How many peoples are attended?

Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Deafblind and interpreter plus came from Ottawa, Quebec, Toronto and British Columbia are totals 80.

My COMMENTS: I did invited her about Gala and she did came with me also I asked her about her Deaf Community Events in Cuba then she say nope except only Christmas Party.
Her first time Deaf Community at National Capital Association for the Deaf in Ottawa, Ontario.

1. Are she born deaf and causes?

She was born deaf because few months old became very sick.

2. What name of School for the Deaf in Cuba?
She went to hearing school because there was no special School for the Deaf. 

3. When did she attended?

4. When  did she graduated?

5. Did she went to University or College?


6. What courses did she take?


7. Have she been involved anythings at Deaf Community?


8. Why did she moved to Canada?

She did moved to Canada because she hate against politics last May 2022.

MY COMMENTS: Last Thursday February 20th, 2023 she taught me about Spanish Sign Language are School, Daughter, Son, Grandmother, Grandfather, Sister and etc.
I taught her America Sign Language are Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,  Thursday, Friday and Saturday
