How I met him?
I met him when I was small child because he took pictures of us at my parent's small house in Bracebridge, Ontario.
Me was 5 years old

My youngest sister Sandra was 2 years old and me was 5 years old from small house in Wellington Street in Bracebridge, Ontario.

He was attended at special class at Clinton Street Elementary Public School in Toronto, Ontario from 1941 - 1945.
Then transferred to The Central Technical School in Toronto, Ontario from 1945 - 1948.

He first attempted photography as a teenager in 1945, when he asked his pretty red haired girlfriend Dorothy for her photography. She refused to give him her picture, saying that if he wanted one he so badly, he should get a camera and take it himself.

He found a used box camera at the Salvation Army and bought it with 50 cents he had planned on spending at the movies.

9. When did he got married with Dorothy Tate?
They got married at Toronto's Evangelical Church of the Deaf last May 24th, 1952. After moving to Florida in 1965 to enjoy a change of scenery for a few years, the family relocated back to Ontario, choosing the beautiful town of Bracebridge as their new home.

They had 4 adult children are Howard (Bracebridge, Ontario), Jennifer (Kingston, Ontario), John ( Mississauga, Ontario) and Norman (Oshawa, Ontario).

In 1974 Allydn won the Golden Defty from the Canadian Cultural Society of the Deaf for one of photographs. At the Southern Cross International Exhibition of Stereo Photography, Sydney, Australia, he was awarded the International Federation of Photographic Art's gold metal for "second best in show", for his three - dimensional photograph called "Flip the Frog" Allydn's photographs and articles on stereo photography have appeared in Photographic Canadiana, a publication of the photographic Historical Society of Canada.

I never met her but I heard about her and saw the newspaper.

In 1941, a cute boy named Alldyn Clark arrived at the school, having recently become deaf due to spinal meningitis. She and Allydn soon formed a friendship that would last a lifetime.

April 18th, 1930 - February 8th, 2008
The funeral service was held February 11th, 2008 at Reynolds Funeral Home, Turner Chapel in Bracebridge, Ontario. The service was officiated with dignity and light - heartendness by noted Minister of the Deaf, Rev. Bob Rumball.
