Dorothy Beam 

I met her at my Wedding Day 1987 but she bought her friend Eleanor McPeake.

1. Are she born deaf and causes?

She born proundly deaf and causes no idea. 

2. When did she attended at hearing School or Sir James Whitney School for the Deaf?

She went to Centennial Public School in September 1923 to June 1932 as I am assumed.
She went to Sir James Whitney School for the Deaf in September 1932 to June 1950.

3. When did she graduated?

She was graduated 1950 as I am assumed. 

4. When did she graduated at University or College?

5. What courses did she take?

6. Have she been involved anythings at Deaf Community?

In 1976 she became the second woman to be elected President of the Toronto based Ontario Association for the Deaf for 5 years. 

In 1986 she was Vice President of the Ontario Association of the Centre for the Deaf. 

In 1990's she was involved with the Evangelical Church for the Deaf in Toronto, Ontario and led it's Sign Language Choir.

She was volunteered work every Summer at the Ontario Camp of the Deaf in Parry Sound, Ontario. 
She was volunteered at various times with the Bob Rumball Centre for the Deaf in Toronto,  Ontario and the Ottawa based Canadian Association of the Deaf. 

MY COMMENTS: Dorothy came over my Wedding Day 1987 but I did visited her funeral at Cedarview Alliance Church at 3pm in Cedarview Road, Ottawa, Ontario last Saturday May 2nd, 2015 from OC Bus by myself. 
Inside at the church on the left side close the front I sat with Joyce (Virtus) Lang and Monique Dozois but I saw James and his parent sat on the right side far back. 
After funeral service we ate snacks and dranks then I had ride with Ruth and Jonathan Baxter took me home.

I met my biological parent when I was born in Canadian Red Cross Memorial Hospital then they bought me home from Meadowfield Road, Langley, England at Fish and Chip above their apartment.


My late dog Ricky and I lived at backyard when I was 2 years old.

But no longer Canadian Red Cross Memorial Hospital are closed 1985.


1. Am I born deaf or hard of hearing and causes?

I am born hard of hearing and cause is unknown.

2. Did I learning from British Sign Language?

Nope, I did not learning British Sign Language when I was a baby until 2 years old and my parent never thought about it but they did not learning BSL, either.

3. Did I learning from America Sign Language?

Nope, when I was moved to Canada when I was 28 months old (2 and half years old) then I was visited audiolgy at Sir James Whitney School for the Deaf in Belleville, Ontario when I was 3 years old because I was used one hearing aid body.


4. How am I learning America Sign Language #1?

One of my late deaf friend Alydan Clark gave me finger spelling card when I was 14 years old.

5. How am I learning America Sign Language number #2?

I was learned America Sign Langauge from the deaf and hard of hearing students and the teachers by lipreading at Sir James Whitney School for the Deaf in Belleville, Ontario.
