Answer: She just went to that class at Algonquin College and one class at her work for four weeks.

MY COMMENTS: I felt so different that Gow family dinner table used sign language instead my Carrick family dinner table don't very often used sign language.

Craft Day!



This October 15th, 2017 in the afternoon I went to Nepean Sportplex at 1701 Woodroffe Ave. , Ottawa, Ontario by city bus.
The Craft Day are included Karen Hennig, Jamie Parkard, Barb Little, Simone Edwards-Forde, Roxanne Whiting, four children and myself.


I chose crafts are: 7 logs hangers by Christmas tree.



The letters are: P for me, W for Warren, S for Stephanie, I for Isabella and J for Josh.

Last Summer 1978 my FIRST Ontario Northernland Train at 150 Second Street South from Gravenhurt, Ontario to Toronto, Ontario for 3 hours and 6 mintues.

                        - Barrie, Ontario 
                       - Union in Toronto, Ontario 

          I went to Three Locations are in Ottawa, Ontario, Barrie, Ontario and Bracebridge, Ontario but not in Belleville, Ontario because I went to OSD - SJW School.

- Ottawa, Ontario: I ordered Ultratch TTY with Answer Machine, Roll Papers in 1997, Hearing Aid Batteries, I went to Hearing Test in 1997 also repaired my Hearing Aid, I ordered new Ear Mold in 2011.

Barrie, Ontario: I ordered Ultratch TTY in 2000.

- Bracebridge, Ontario: I bought Hearing Aid batteries in 2000, repaired my Hearing Aid and ordered new ear mold in 2004.

- Belleville, Ontario: Hearing Aid batteries, ordered new ear mold and ear plug for swimming in 1979 - 1986.

Then we walked to The Hospital for Sick Children for 20 mintues from Union Station
When I was 13 years old with my Mum went to The Hospital for Sick Children at 555 University  Avenue. That was my SECOND TIME

She bought for me about Blue Jay pen inside water float but I lost it.

My Dad didn't come with us because of my youngest sisters stayed home. 



We stayed at the hotel but I dunno the name of it.
I remember I ate soft strawberry jello and  drank apple juice because of operation and white thread from top right tooth as well.

I was not pay attention at the window view because I was laid down for my toothache. 

We got off Train Station then they picked us up and went home for 18 minutes by drive.


                   Ontario Northland Bus



Last October 5th, 2018 for long weekend at 10:20am I went on Greyhound Bus to North Bay, Ontario from Ottawa, Ontario until arrived at 3:20pm.
At 4pm I went on North Bay, Ontario to Bracebridge, Ontario for first time went on Ontario Northland Bus then arrived to Quality Inn in Bracebridge, Ontario at 6:30pm.
No one in my friends there with me. Just strangers, with a face that look as if it has traveled a thousand miles of good road again.
I was travel from Ottawa, Ontario to North Bay, Ontario - Bracebridge, Ontario for 31 years and 2 days ago.

They had accessible that help me felt much better from Ontario Northland Bus with sign next places instead Greyhound Bus used information book of map and VIA Train used announced as well.
I wish have ACCESSIBLLE for VIA Train instead book of map from Ottawa (downtown) Station - Fallowfield Station to Toronto Station.

Last October 9th my parent and I drove to Quailty Inn to met my Ontario Northland Bus at 10:15pm and left to North Bay, Ontario at 12:35am.
Then arrived North Bay, Ontario at Greyhound Bus Station I was waited for second Greyhound Bus at 2:20am. 
I slept in the bus by myself all the way but I was not comfortable seat also I bought my own pillow ring and blanket.
Then I got in Greyhound Bus went to Ottawa, Ontario in got there at 7:20am but I went on another OC Transpo Bus went home at 8am.
I was overwhelmed for my travels for 5 hours plus 2 hours from Bracebridge, Ontario.

MY COMMENTS: I was too exhausted and long travel for 7 hours from Ottawa to Bracebridge by 2 different buses at Greyhound and Ontario Northland.

What look like to be Deaf?



Last  March, 1963 to April,1966 (3 years) my parent was First Apartment with me above Fish and Chip Resturant in Langley, England. 



I sat on my Mum's lap when I had bath and I got my left ear was ear infection.



My Dad and I was played outside at the backyard. 



My Mum DID for me, my Hearing Aid Body when I was 2 then changed to behind my ear from my Hearing Aid when I was 15 until present, Visual Ears and Closed Caption System, that it. 

Long time ago I was went to hearing school (Bracebridge Public School), Day Camp (at the gym in Bracebridge Public School), School Bus and 4-H Club also Sunday School but NO INTERPRETER that time.

I had watched tv without closed captions I used the pictures on the screen because it's hard to lip reading plus kept moved around and behind their back. I never asked what going on from tv programs.

I don't remember how my parent find out about closed caption from Sears without asked me or surprised for me as gift also 2 Visual Ears from Bracebridge Lion Club.

I had no flash light for alarm clock because I used regular clock but my Mum did most of it, awake me up for works and hearing school also no flash light for visual ear with my phone in my bedroom so she told me my phone rang.

I remember I used every second Saturday night phoned cheaper long distance to Ottawa, Ontario.

In Bracebridge, Ontario don't have any interpreter at my area so I was late learned sign language as toddler until 14 years old  instead right away after I was born.

No one as my relavaties, hearing teachers, hearing friends, Sunday School teachers and leaders don't want to learned Sign Language because never thought about it.

I used be hearing children's birthday parties from neighborhood and 
schoolhood.

My First just learned red flash fire alarms, flash light phone, old fashion TTY, flash light clock at School and Residence instead at home on the Fall 1979. 



T-911Workshop


Last Tuesday October 25th, 2016 from 6pm - 8pm at Hintenburg Community Centre, 1064 Wellington Street West.

I went on OC Tranpo Bus then after done workshop and a person pick me up take me home.




I was sat the back the group and I was learned about register, 911, they will give me T911 from my phone but I haven't set it up yet.


Lois McIntyre is an Deaf Interpreter and is a cop with Police Station.
He did send to me from my email about register form.





Cochlear Implant 1



Jessica

never meet Jessica in my life.
My first cousin Dorothy's granddaughter Jessica that mean she is my second cousin.

1. How old when she was became Cochlear Implant at?

When she was 4 years old.

2. When she was born deaf after became Cochlear Implant?

Yes, she was born deaf.

3. Who idea for Cochlear Implant?

Her parent Nicki and Paul also their Doctor decided.

4. Did she learned British Sign Language?

Yes, her parent and Jessica used British Sign Language but she used speech is very good voice for speech. Also her speech is very good so she uses her voice and speaks more than signs.

5.  Did she went to deaf school?

Nope, but she went to a regular school with special teacher to help her.

6.  How they felt because deaf child/grandchild ?

Dorothy and Jessica's parent just accepted that her granddaughter/daughter Jessica was deaf and that's her life.

My COMMENTS: I disagree Cochlear Implant  because made her sick from headache, can't go to shower and swimming because of electronic shock from her brain and can be die too also can't used when she go to bed because what if Cochlear Implant already damaged that mean need one.

Just keep that way who am I, period.  I refused used Cochlear Implant .

I met Jonathan last May 2016 at Sir James Whitney School for the Deaf.

1. Did he born deaf and causes?

Jonathan was born hearing or deaf is unclear but he think he was boring hearing but cause deaf due to medicine.

2. When did he attended at Sir James Whitney School for the Deaf?

He became a supply teacher at Sir James Whitney School for the Deaf  in September 2015 until June 2016 then residential Counsellor September 2016 to the end of November 2016 at Intermediate Boy's Residence for three months.

3. Did he graduated Sir James Whitney School for the Deaf?

He grew up at Newfoundland School for the Deaf  from 1994 - 2007. Then transfer  to Ernest C Drury School for the Deaf in Mitlon, Ontario last October 2007 he moved to Ernest C Drury then he graduated in June 2008.

4. When did he graduated Gallaudet University?

He graduated at Galluedet University in 2009. He felt unhappy so he transfered to Rochester Institute of Technology in September 2009.

5. What course did he take?

He graduated with a Bachelor in Environmental Science in May 2013. He went back to Rochester Institute of Technology for Masters in Deaf Education in August 2013 until he graduated in May 2015 in Rochester, New York.

6. Recent January 3rd, 2017 he got new job?

He is now a teacher on contact at British Columbia School for the Deaf in Vancouver,  British Columbia.

Yes, she born deaf cause of German Measles.

Her Dad 's name of football team: Ottawa Rough Riders.

He been player for 1956 - 1960 (five seasons). He retired just after the 1960 Grey Cup because of bad knee.

She been involved was Island Deaf and Hard of Hearing Centre last 1990 - 1991 then again next 1993 - 1996, and some Deaf Organzization also been right now at Deaf Curling. Also she was involved with Western Institute for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing as board member for 4 years (Fall 2011 and 2013) she had a bad fall that her shoulders were frozen. Not playing for 3 years until recently last Fall 2016 came back to playing again.

She played for British Columbia Women's team as fifth player in 2012 at Canada Deaf Games in Edmonton, Alberta and they won bronze medal.

MY COMMENTS: Last Sunday September, 2004 Pastor Don Thorne did invited Reverend Bob and his wife Mary Jean Rumball came to Pinegrove Fellowship Baptist Church at 295 Taylor Road in Bracebridge, Ontario.
After church 4 of us, Bob and Mary Jean went out for lunch at Swiss Charlet Restaurant in Bracebridge, Ontario.
They came from Toronto, Ontario. 

MY COMMENTS: I would like to say thank you thank you so much that he did invited them for us and what  nice surprised but I never excepted that he did invited them.
